1Weather is InMobi's flagship weather app for Android and iOS devices that is known for its accurate forecasts, radar, and comprehensive features. It offers a 10-day forecast, live radar maps, severe weather alerts, widgets, and personalization options.

Insights is a section under 1Weather shorts where sets of 6 or 7 scrollable cards are available for the users. These insights covers a variety of topics from natural disasters, to lifestyle to history and many more. These insights have been carefully designed keeping the 1W UI in mind to help enhance the visual experience of Insights while maintaining quality and consistency.
What was the process like?
The process was quite simple. Insights task was assigned to me 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Therefore, I used to get 2 days for each insight. Initially, after a lot of experimentation, I and Nishita created the grids and design guidelines (fonts, spacing, etc) for consistency. We also created our own mood board by taking references from Pinterest, dribble, Behance. At the time, the Inshorts app was also doing a fantastic job of providing its users with information using a carousel method that was very similar. We used inspiration from their designs as well.

1Weather Insights ultimately became a big hit. I effectively increased the feature engagement by 40% while working with my mentor. This helped me earn the trust of many stakeholders which eventually helped me transfer to the UX team after evaluating my prior work, enthusiasm, empathetic skills, and love of learning.
